To what extend would you go to protect yourself from the raging coronavirus?

While wearing masks is the new norm, apparently, that’s not enough for one American student.

Desperate times call for desperate measures

It's better to be safe than sorry.
The student turned heads after he arrived in school to take his final examinations in a full hazmat suit.

According to abc7 News, Mason Kalkofen from Texas showed up in class last Wednesday (16 December) in full personal protective equipment (PPE) for fear that he would contract the virus and spread it to his family.

Kalkofen told the website that his mother, Margarita, has a veery high risk of getting complications if infected.

"I'm having to go in a hazmat suit. That way I can protect my family," he was quoted as saying.

His fear, however, was justified as 25 people from the school have tested positive for the virus, the report said.

Taking no chances.
Kalkofen’s parents had requested for the school to allow him to sit for the exams online, but the request was rejected.

The school, however, told abc7 News that it had offered the family multiple testing options, such as the option of the student testing alone with only one official present, but the family had refused them all.

Hey, if the government doesn't care, #KitaJagaKita, right?
