These are some of the issues that will be addressed by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin when announcing if the Recovery Movement Control Order will end on 31 August or be extended further.

To extend or not to extend, that is the question.

"The announcement will be made by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. It will likely be this week, since the announcement (on MCO extensions) is usually made a week before. So let's just wait patiently," said Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as reported by The Star.

A couple of days ago, the Health Ministry had recommended that the RMCO be extended.

This was based on the World Health Organisation's projection that the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to last two years.
