Since the BUDI95 subsidy initiative was launched on September 30, we've heard many stories from people claiming it for the first time.
While most issues are relatively simple, like being unable to claim due to a faulty MyKad chip, some individuals have encountered much stranger problems.

On Threads, a Malaysian shared how his company allegedly instructed staff to use subsidised fuel for work purposes.
As if that wasn't enough, he also claimed the company told employees to use their family members' MyKad to refuel once their own 300-litre monthly quota, allocated by the government, had run out.
“Starting September 30, it's mandatory for all drivers to use their MyKad to refuel. If their quota has run out, try asking their family members for their MyKad. Please save on fuel.”

Needless to say, many Malaysians disagreed with how the company appeared to be taking advantage of its staff. Some also urged the man to file a formal report with the authorities.
“This is wrong. The subsidy is your personal right, not the company's.”
One user commented, “Subsidy is for personal use. The company cannot ask staff to use it for work purposes. Did your boss not go to school?”
